Philosophy

The Auctor Group’s name draws on the ancient Roman concept of auctoritas, the earned, respected influence of a person or body in Roman society, attributed to trust, reputation, and wisdom, rather than formal office or command. The auctor was the one who brought about, promoted, or gave legitimacy to something. That's our purpose. To promote and defend your business or organization and to earn the influence that achieves your goals. We harness the enduring pillars of auctoritas and combine them with the digital tools of today that result in modern-day victories.

Keili McEwen has spent more than 20 years navigating the front lines of public policy, politics, and strategic advocacy in Oklahoma, Arkansas and Washington, DC. She has advised governors, legislators, and executives, led winning campaigns, built coalitions, and secured policy victories across all levels of government. Her background includes staff roles in the offices of Governor Mike Huckabee and Governor Mary Fallin, where, as Director of Public Affairs, she experienced firsthand the intersection of policy and public opinion.

Before founding The Auctor Group, Keili was Vice President of Government Affairs at one of Oklahoma’s largest financial institutions, where she led all state and federal lobbying and political affairs efforts. She was instrumental in preserving her industry’s tax designation in the landmark “One Big, Beautiful Bill” package. A trailblazer, she is the first lobbyist for a not-for-profit financial institution in the state of Oklahoma.

Previously, Keili served as Chief of Strategic Engagement and Communications Director at the Oklahoma Department of Human Services, where she led communications and partner outreach through the COVID-19 pandemic and established the agency’s first federal policy liaison role.

Keili was also previously Senior Director of Government Relations and Political Strategy at CMA Strategies, achieving dozens of successful lobbying efforts for clients from Fortune 50 companies to community based nonprofits, and where she was heavily involved in dozens of political campaigns. Keili was pivotal in G.T. Bynum’s election as Tulsa Mayor and contributed to the firm’s unmatched 100% win rate in the 2016 cycle. She also helped ensure the passage of MAPS for Kids, MAPS 4, Marsy's Law for Oklahoma, bond issues in Oklahoma City, Norman, and Enid, and helped successfully elect dozens of successful statewide and municipal candidates for office.

Keili’s expertise in coalition-building includes serving as the founding Executive Director of the Oklahoma Coalition for Affordable Housing. She has trained thousands of advocates to take action on issues impacting their lives and livelihoods and is a frequent speaker and podcast guest, sharing insights on how politics shapes policy outcomes.

Her family and civic responsibility are her guiding lights. After a rare disease nearly cost her husband his life in 2015, Keili became a passionate patient advocate. She also serves as a National PAC Trustee for America’s Credit Unions PAC, is a member of the America’s Credit Unions National Advocacy Committee, Board Finance Chair for the Virtual Preparatory Academy of Oklahoma, Magdalene House board member, a Leadership Oklahoma City graduate, a certified Credit Union Development Educator, and a member of the Filene Research Institute's i3 innovation leadership program.

Keili founded The Auctor Group to provide clients with high-impact government affairs - combining traditional lobbying with modern tools to influence policy, shape narratives, and drive results. She is driven by her belief that influence is earned through vision, creativity, and hustle and that organizations of all sizes deserve access to effective, strategic advocacy.

Keili lives in Oklahoma City with her husband, son, and their house full of pets.
